Barnstormers re-sign Yunior Novoa

The Lancaster Barnstomers announced on Monday that they have re-signed left-handed pitcher Yunior Novoa for the 2012 season.

Yunior Novoa was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Chicago White Sox in 2002. He played three seasons in the White Sox organization before going to the Washington Nationals organization in 2006. His best season in the Nationals organization came in 2008 with Harrisburg and Potomac when he had a 4-2 record with 2.10 ERA, and 4 saves in 77.1 innings pitched. Last season, Novoa had 5-5 record with a 5.33 ERA for the Barnstormers.

A nice signing by the Barnstomers, who have now a "long man" in their bullpen. Novoa has the ability to come in relief as well as making spot starts.
