Patriots sign pitchers T.J. Hose And Mike Solbach

The Somerset Patriots announced on Wednesday that they have signed pitchers T.J. Hose and Mike Solbach for the 2012 season.

T.J. Hose was a 36th round (1098th overall) selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft out of East Carolina University. He played three seasons in Diamondbacks organization, with his best season coming in in 2009 when he had a 3-2 record with a 2.13 ERA between South Bend(A) and Visalia (A+). Last season, Hose pitched for the Salem Red Sox in Boston Red Sox organization as well as for the Newark Bears in the Can-Am League.

Michael Solbach was originally a 19th round (583rd overall) selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft out of Liberty University.  He pitched four seasons in the New York Yankees organization, with his best coming in 2011 when he had 6-4 record with a 3.12 ERA for Tampa (A+).
