Skeeters add two more! Botts and Locke!

The Sugar Land Skeeters announced the signings of former major league outfielder Jason Botts, and former Astros prospect Drew Locke.

Jason Botts was originally drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 46th round (1375th overall) of the 1999 MLB Amateur Draft.

He played five seasons in the Texas Rangers organization before getting called up to the majors on September 24, 2005.

From 2005-2008, Botts would split time between the Texas Rangers and their minor league affiliates. He has a .230 major league batting average with 5 home runs, and 28 RBI.

After a year in Japan, he signed with the Camden Riversharks in 2010 and hit .342 with 3 home runs and 20 RBI in 41 games before getting signed by the Washington Nationals organization. He finished the 2010 season with the Nationals Triple-A affiliate, Syracuse where he hit .279.

In 2011, he started the season with the York where he hit .370 with 4 home runs and 13 RBI in 14 games. On May 18, 2011 he was signed by the New York Mets organization and sent to Triple-A Buffalo where he hit .268 with 3 home runs and 19 RBI in 59 games.

Drew Locke was a 19th round selection (586th overall) by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2005 MLB Amateur Draft out of Boston College.

He played five seasons in the Dodgers organization with his best season coming in 2008 with Inland Empire when he hit .308 with 11 home runs and 85 RBI.

From 2009-2011 he played in the Houston Astros organization.

Last season with Oklahoma City of Pacific Coast League he had a .268 batting average with 11 home runs, and 58 RBI.
