York signs Jesus Sanchez and Ian Thomas

The two-time defending Atlantic League Champions, York Revolution have announced that they have signed left-handed pitchers Jesus Sanchez and Ian Thomas for the 2012 season.

Jesus Sanchez played seven seasons in the major leagues with the Florida Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds from 1998 to 2004. In 2010, he came to York and was 7-6 with a 3.65 ERA. He was selected as an Atlantic League All-Star that season. In 2011, he started the season with Hunstville (AA) in the Brewers organization where he was 4-7 with a 4.91 ERA. He signed with York toward the end of the season and was 3-2 with a 6.67 ERA in 28.1 innings pitched.


Ian Thomas pitched with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association the last three seasons where he a 11-5 record with a 2.05 ERA and 5 saves in 128 innings pitched.
